on the terrorist cell that he has been assigned to spy on.
At Le Casino Royale, Bond becomes involved in a high stakes poker game
against the banker of the world terrorist organizations, Le Chiffre.
Here he teams up with British accountant Vesper Lynd, who poses as his
wife at the casino as she continues to fund the game for Bond. Their
professional interest gradually evolves into a personal one as Bond
finds himself falling for the beautiful British agent. In the midst of
danger, murder, torture and dirty tricks, the young Bond must use his
wits and cunning to break through the terrorist circle and find success
on his appointed mission.
Daniel Craig has flaunted his stuff in his first role as James Bond,
showing a 007 that is much more vulnerable, less experienced but no less
dangerous. If there was ever a concern over a steely-eyed blonde taking
over this coveted role, it will be quickly put to rest as viewers see a
Bond movie that revives an icon with a whole new image. This movie was
surprisingly well received by Bond fans and movie critics alike, and
became a popular instalment in the long-standing series.
